I decided to do a lenghty study on the Love of God. Because I tend to be thorough, it soon became deeper than I had intended, taking months. Looking at the Hebrew words, english words, Greek words, Latin words, and many others that just consumed my time, I concluded that I really knew nothing of what I wished to experience.
Near the end of the study, God gave me a most exciting revelation that I wish you would think about.
I was reminded of the bible story of the prodigal son who took his inheritance and left home. Soon, he squandered all he had, and got a job feeding pigs. It became his way of life. One day, he began to think of home. Even his father's servants ate better than what he was eating. Letting his pride fall, he decided to return home and be a servant to his father, if he would have him.
As he neared home, his father looked afar off and saw him coming. He became greatly excited. To his other son, he called for a calf to be slaughtered and prepared. His son was coming home. What excitement stirred in his heart.
As the son neared, seeing his father rising up, his heart began to beat faster. The man who loved him and fed him in his youth. What would his father do? In his heart, he knew that his father was a father of love. Continueing on, he discovered a new feeling growing in his heart. Oh, to be back in the grace of his father. The desire to hug his father began to grow as he neared him. His steps were hesitant, yet he could see that his father was taking strides towards him now. The look on the man's face was one of great love. Tears were flowing down his face as he neared his son. Love exploded in his bosom for his son. OH, to hug him and welcome him home.
Let me switch for a moment to another scene. Jesus had gone out from the Father's heart and come to earth. For thirty three years he had been gone from Heaven. He had gone out among the sinfulness of mankind. Your sinfulness... He was whipped, hung on a tree, degraded, despised, humiliated. Died. Went into the bowels of the earth for three days and nights. Then the Spirit of God had raised Him from the dead.
He was returning home. Can you imagine the scene in Heaven. His Father seeing Him coming home! His SON was coming home! !What LOVE must have poured through their souls as they came together, FATHER and SON. What an embrace that must have been. Both of their bosoms full of love for each other.
Now, back to the young man here on earth. About to reach his father. I imagined the looks on each of their faces. Looks of longing to embrace each other. As they came together, arms outstretched, about to bring an end to their seperation, my own heart began to flood with that same desire. OH, TO EMBRACE MY FATHER AND BE EMBRACED BY HIM! My thoughts went back to Jesus and Father about to embrace in Heaven!
At that moment, the moment of the Father, and the Son were about to embrace, the Holy Spirit spoke ever so clearly to me with great urgency in His voice,"Remi, Jump in between them! With all my faith, I lept inbetween the Father and the Son. OH, WHAT AN EMBRACE! I shall never forget it all my days on this planet.... Incredible.... Caught inbetween the two greatest Loves of the entire universe. There's something about when a human being has love in his bosom. He explodes with compassion and love. You can feel it. ...OH, that day I felt the Love that God the Father has for His First born Son.... I got to have a taste of it.... Unspeakable and full of Glory....Every moment that I am able, I think of being carried in Jesus' bosom. Blessed be His name.
My beloved, it is my desire, that you too will ponder this event, and jump when you see the possibility of such an embrace. Remember, that Christ has taken us in His bosom. When he went to be with the Father, He carried each of us. You too can experience this great moment!
One of His,
